Are you pregnant and planning a trip to Disney? Are you wondering if you can even have a good time? If so, the answer is ABSOLUTELY!
I’ve been pregnant at Disney World numerous times and had a great time. You will have to miss out on some rides, but there are still plenty to enjoy!

What rides can I ride at Disney World while pregnant?
As of the posting of this guide, these are the rides at each park that are considered safe to ride while pregnant (meaning, they do not carry the expectant mothers advisory).
Magic Kingdom
- Astro Orbiter (although I found it to be a little uncomfortable)
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Haunted Mansion
- “It’s a small world”
- Jungle Cruise
- Mad Tea Party (wouldn’t recommend if you’re experiencing any nausea)
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Peter Pan’s Flight (one of my favorites!)
- Pirates of the Caribbean (another favorite!)
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
- Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Walt Disney World Railroad (not exactly a “ride,” more of transportation to other areas of the park – there are 3 locations to board or disembark around the park)
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
Epcot
- Frozen Ever After
- Journey Into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Spaceship Earth
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
Hollywood Studios
- Alien Swirling Saucers (Although I don’t recommend with nausea)
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Toy Story Mania!
Animal Kingdom
- It’s Tough to be a Bug! (more of a show than a ride)
- Na’vi River Journey
*At Animal Kingdom, the Kilimanjaro Safaris allows infants to ride, but it carries the expectant mothers advisory due to the possibility of rough terrain. I have ridden this while pregnant, but it was a possible risk that I felt was minimal and I was willing to take. It is very bumpy and sometimes has sudden stops, but I have never encountered fast speeds with sudden stops. You would have to decide what is right for you and your family for this ride.*
Can I go through the ride lines with the rest of my party if I’m not riding?
From my experience, yes! I went through several ride lines with the rest of my family who were riding. Right before boarding, I just told them I was not riding, and they directed me to a place to wait for the rest of my group after they were done riding.
This was especially important for me when it was just Elexious and me going when I was pregnant with Elliott. I didn’t want her going through the line alone, especially when it was busy and lines were over an hour for some rides.
Shows and Other Attractions
You can enjoy plenty of shows and other attractions throughout Disney World while pregnant. The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Hollywood Studios is one of my favorites. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at Epcot, is a beautiful walk-through attraction. Just be careful walking through to not slip on all of the water.
Walking and Resting
You will be walking a lot at Disney World. Depending on how long we’re at the park, we’ve walked well over 7 miles. I’ve read of some people walking over 10 miles a day. You definitely want to rest when you can and not overdo it. There are usually plenty of benches or places to sit and rest throughout all the parks.
Comfortable Shoes and Clothing
With all the walking you’ll be doing, wearing comfortable shoes is a must! I also recommend comfortable clothing as well. Depending on how far along you are, you may want bottoms that are more supportive of your growing belly.
Sun Protection & Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must in the hot Florida sun! This applies whether you’re pregnant or not. My favorite and recommended face sunscreen is the Supergoop! Mineral Matte Screen and for the body, I recommend Supergoop! PLAY Mineral Lotion Sunscreen. Both are safe to use during pregnancy.
Some days, when it’s expected to be really sunny, I’ll bring a wide-brimmed hat too. Sunglasses are always a good idea as well!
Hydration & Nourishment
We know staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water is essential during pregnancy. This is especially true at Disney! You will be walking a lot, likely in hot weather, and need to drink more than your usual amount of water. You can bring your own refillable water bottle, buy bottled water from around the park, or get free cups of water throughout the parks! I normally bring either a packet or two of Liquid I.V. or a Bodyarmor for some necessary electrolytes. Disney World recently started selling Bodyarmor in the parks also!
There are plenty of meal and snack options throughout Disney World parks. Some are healthy, and some are… well, not so healthy. I tend to enjoy some of both! Here is my post on what snacks I will bring with me sometimes, pregnant or not. Just make sure you’re eating some balanced meals while at Disney to keep you and baby nourished.
I love going to Epcot during a festival because they have smaller portions of various foods to try at booths around the park. The Food and Wine Festival is my favorite, even though I can’t enjoy the wine while I’m pregnant, there are plenty of foods to enjoy and nonalcoholic beverages as well!
Wrapping Up
Sure, you may have to skip some rides, but being pregnant at Disney World is just as magical as going when you aren’t pregnant. There are still many things to see, eat, and enjoy. I absolutely love going when I’m pregnant! Let me know in the comments if you feel the same way and if you have any tips as well.
